Since 1995, Those Meddling Kids have been developing a unique style of improvised theatre. Over the last two years we have refined our work in an effort to create completely improvised one-act satires of popular cinematic and theatrical genres ranging from Shakespeare and David Lynch to Musical Theater and After-School Special. What ensues is a mad-cap combination of audience suggestions, spontaneous story-telling and riotous laughter.
This year we are currently developing a method to create a completely improvised, full-length play based exclusively on information provided by audience members. It is our goal to provide theatergoers with the opportunity to collaborate in everything from costume and set design to even inventing the title of the play. Those Meddling Kids strive to make theatre a truly interactive experience.
Can eight actors, two musicians, a light board operator and a room full of strangers create a high caliber piece of art on the spot? Come see us at the Edge of the World Theatre Festival and we'll prove we can! Those Meddling Kids have never performed the same play twice and we never will. The only thing that is certain about our work is that nothing is certain!
